GiG Partner is actually packaged as two separate programs ..
GiG Partner : Allows you to create songs, song events and gigs (set lists).
GiG Player : The gigging component which plays the MP3 background music, scrolls the lyrics, fires the Midi events etc.
(NOTE: GiG Player may be installed on MULTIPLE computers for your convenience - without additional license fees !)
GiG Player Components:
GiG Player is the actual software product that you will be using for your gigs. The Display consists of 3 main components..
1. Lyrics Box
2. Media Control Panel
3. Song List (or set list)
The new version of the player in GiG Partner 'X' now places these components into three individual, moveable and sizeable pieces. This allows you to configure GiG Player to match your display properties and orientation.
Lyrics Box (1):
This component displays your lyrics. It also includes manual scroll buttons should you need to do so (or in cases where there is no backing track for a song and you wish to scroll manually).
The Lyrics Box part also contains the CUE display (top horizontal window) as well as buttons to load or restart a gig.
Media Control Panel (2):
This panel controls the functions of the player which include ..
* Play / Pause
* Stop
* Skip-to-next song
* Volume Up / Volume down
It is suggested, however, that you would most likely prefer to use a three-button foot pedal instead of clicking the controls with your mouse - especially in a live performance situation. Note however that the [Space Bar] on your keyboard can be used to play/pause your music any time as well.
Song List (3):
The Song List component displays the songs in SET LIST format. You can see which songs are coming up, which have already been played and which have been skipped. You can also pick a song to be played immediately, or have it queued to play as the next song.
If the Song List is not in 'unlock' mode (being displayed all the time), it can be recalled any time via the foot switch or clicking the SONGS button on the right side of the Lyrics Box component.
